    • Click the three dots on the top right then go to Settings

    • Tap on Privacy and security then on Clear browsing data .

    • You will find an option “Time range,” select All time

    • Then go to advanced and only select the top three options as shown in the below figure

    • There you will also find the option of “Time range,” select All time

    • Now simply Tap on Clear data.

  2. Check the URL:

    Another cause of a 401 error is an incorrect URL. Carefully check the URL to make sure it is correct and that is pointing to the correct server

  3. Check the Credentials:

    If the URL is correct and you are still receiving the 401 error, then check the credential you are using to access the website. Ensure that the username and passwords are correct and that has the correct permissions to access the website

  4. Check the Firewall Settings:

    It is possible that the firewall setting of the server are blocking the connection. Check the firewall setting and make sure that IP address of the client is allowed to access the server

  5. Reset the password:

    If all of the above steps fails, then resetting the passwords may solve the problem. Resetting the password will generate a new set of credentials, which may be able to bypass the 401 error.
